As a self-taught abstract artist living in the vibrant Hampden neighborhood of Baltimore, I find endless inspiration in my surroundings.

My creative process begins with selecting a color palette. With a strong sense of color, I delight in watching hues interact and complement each other. Color is the cornerstone of my work; without harmonious colors, nothing else can bring the painting to life. Each palette—whether bold or serene—is meticulously chosen to enhance the essence of the piece.

Texture plays a significant role in my paintings. It may be pre-existing on the canvas or added through hand-drawn marks and patterns, creating a rich visual depth. During my daily walks, I consciously observe the natural textures around me, drawing inspiration from the diverse and dynamic urban landscape. Living in the city ensures a constant supply of intriguing and inspiring textures to explore.

Intuition guides my artistic journey. Each piece presents a series of creative challenges: Should I add this element? Should I pause or continue? Do I love or dislike this part? Am I satisfied with the painting's progress? These questions shape the evolution of my work.
